Learn about how Eaton technologies have shaped Singapore’s power and meet the Singapore team

What made you decide to venture into the field of power management?

Prior to joining Eaton, I had a good understanding about industry topics such as medium voltage. I wanted to challenge myself to learn more about power management and hone my skills in this area. So, I decided to join Eaton, a company that is renowned for its power management capabilities as I thought it would be the best place to learn the skills.

What is your favorite part about working at Eaton?

Eaton has been a great place to learn and grow. Apart from the workplace culture and staff benefits, what I really appreciate about Eaton is the nurturing management team. My reporting manager is not only a technical advisor, but he is also a coach and mentor to the team. As a leader, he motivates me to go above and beyond to attain the highest standards in our work, which inspires me to challenge myself.

What is the most important you’ve learnt from working with customers?

In my work experience, I have learnt to always put the customer first. I am glad that I can use my knowledge and technical expertise to guide our customers and deliver the reliability and quality that they have come to expect from Eaton.

Share a common misconception people have about your job?

Customers often think of me as just a general electrical worker, but my role is more than that. I am an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) specialist, and my job is to ensure that these solutions perform well and can support the critical load for the data centre. Although my job is technical in nature, the impact that we deliver is essential to the day-to-day operations of many facilities and businesses.
